Cafeteria Mural has Arrived!

The final 2015-2016 River Eves PTA Beautification Project is finished! The murals were installed in the cafeteria over the weekend. This project was a fun collaboration between the PTA and RE staff. Thank you to the staff for coming up with the theme – books with food references – and then providing a list of great books. Special thanks to artist, Mary Jane Stone, for bringing “Green Eggs and Ham”, “James and the Giant Peach”, “Strega Nona” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” to life in our cafeteria!! Mary Jane is the artist who also created the images in the Media Center and the STEM images in the hallways. The cafeteria murals are bright and colorful and will make you smile! Don’t forget to ask your child if they noticed anything different in the cafeteria on Monday. Again, thank you to the parents and Business Partners who have generously donated to the PTA over the past few years. We appreciate your contributions and support!

Click here to see the sketches for the “Green Eggs & Ham”, “James and the Giant Peach” and “Strega Nona” mural which will be located on the wall near the bus lanes. SPLOST Vote May24th

We are asking that you support the upcoming SPLOST 2022 initiative.  This is a 1% percent tax that has been part of the Fulton County tax structure since 1996 and spreads capital costs for our schools across all residents and visitors to Fulton County.  This will not increase your tax burden.  It simply has to be reauthorized every five years. If this measure is not approved, the money for these building, facility and infrastructure maintenance and improvement costs will be raised through an increase in property taxes and bonds that include interest (on average $600 for a $250,000 home).  If this measure is approved, not only will the money raised cover the costs of the projects, it will also pay down current debt leaving Fulton County Schools debt free by 2022, which is an enviable position for any school district.   Early voting starts May 2nd and the official voting day is May 24th.  Please vote YES on SPLOST 2022!

Please click here to get more information about SPLOST.
Anyone with questions can call 404-254-3200 or email SPLOSTinfo@fultonschools.org
