The Annual Fall Festival is Fri., 10/26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Buy tickets early to skip the lines — and get excited about the petting zoo, DJ and games. The $20 deal on the Unlimited Game Play Bracelet ends on Mon., 10/22, so order ASAP. Take a break from cooking and plan on pizza, caramel apples and bake sale items.

We Did It!

We met the $25,000 pledge goal with this year’s Boosterthon Fun Run! Thank you to all the families for giving, volunteering and cheering on the kids at the event, and supporting our plans for the year.
We are excited that soon we will announce mini grants and improvements to our playground and field spaces that we can invest in because of your generosity.
And the students earned the Principal’s Challenge. Look for details about Mr. Donahoe and Mr. Vorick performing karaoke for students during lunch periods.

To kick off the River Eves PTA Calling All Dads (CAD) program, all dads, stepdads, uncles (you get the point) are invited to Taco Mac’s Holcomb Bridge Road location on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.  Don’t get too excited, it’s buy your own drink. Please meet up on the patio.

This is an informal gathering where dads can meet one another, catch up with others they already know, and talk a bit about how they would like to be involved with their kids and the River Eves community.

The kickoff breakfast for CAD and their student(s)  is Oct. 12 at 7:10 a.m. in the media center.

We are raising money to fund PTA Programs and Projects that benefit EVERY child:

• Playground Improvements including new equipment, painting white top areas, and creating shade spaces.
• Academic Enrichment programs such as Accelerated Reader, Eagle Fliers, and Field Trips.
• Classroom Support such as class parties, teacher mini-grants, reimbursements for class supplies, and Teacher Appreciation Week.

Atlanta SEEDs, Inc. at Global Dance has a one-day camp when school is closed this Friday. Camp runs from 7:30 am – 6:30 pm with curb-side drop-off, food, dancing, crafts, a visit to East Roswell Park, tutoring, and more. Girls and boys are welcome! Call to register: 770-594-1937

The Parent’s Night Out fundraiser for River Eves Education Foundation (a.k.a. REEF) to meet principal Matt Donahoe and mix and mingle with parents is Aug. 24 from 6-8 pm. Save by getting tickets in advance for $30 each.

Every person who wants to volunteer in the school or chaperone a field trip must register with the county every two years. Complete the online training in about 15 minutes to become a Fulton County Schools Volunteer – at least 24 hours before volunteering.

Once you complete this, you are cleared to visit REES through June 2020. Then, show your driver’s license or ID at the front office to finish the process.
